This fanedit contains 3 different versions of the fantastic idea to create a twilight zone episode from Planet Of The Apes.

1. Restored original pan/scan website version in dvd quality (Tranzor)
2. Restored original 2:35:1 transfer down to 1:85:1, 16×9 aspect ratio edition (Bright Eyes)
3. Extended edition to fill in some of the minor plot holes that appear in the original (Tranzor)

“Planet of the Apes “re-imagined” as an episode of The Twilight Zone. Why? Both were written by Rod Serling!”

Theforbidden-zone site crew noticed that by using elements from various episodes of the Twilight Zone and greatly cutting down Planet of the Apes, that you could techincally make a Twilight Zone episode out of the film. This worked very well, despite some plot holes (which the authors acknowledged)
The problem with the website version was small picture size and not so nice quicktime quality. What we have done here is made a collaboration.

Editors Notes:

Bright Eyes:I simply followed the edit notes on the site, and reproduced what I saw in the edit itself.
(note Bright Eyes used the dvd version for his edit)
Tranzor: To trace the footage used in the original. The only difference is I did not use the exact fonts and I had to remove the shadow from the credit listings. Still looks nice and in theme. I also used an original vhs tape which was the source for the original FZ edit. I added some very MINOR grain to match the quality of the Twilight Zone episodes
